WHAT ARE THE LEGAL REQUIREMENTS TO BE ABLE TO USE CLEARPAY?


To sign up with Clearpay you need to:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have a valid and verifiable email address and phone number
  • Use a UK bank payment card - Visa or Mastercard Debit or Credit Card
  • Be capable of entering into a legally binding contract
  • Have a verifiable and valid ID
  • Be living in the UK (England / Wales / Scotland & Northern Ireland) No UK territories or British Forces Post Offices addresses are allowed, No Isle of Mann or Isle or Jersey or Isle of Guernsey addresses are allowed

CAN I USE CLEARPAY IF I’M AN INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMER?


Clearpay is only available to customers with a UK billing address. Customers with an international billing address will therefore not be able to create a Clearpay account.


How can I increase my chances of being accepted for Pay later in 3 interest-free instalments?


Klarna is unique and offers Pay later in 3 interest-free instalments based on a number of factors such as

- the order value

- previous order history

- item availability.

- If you are 18 or over

All orders are assessed individually. Just because you have been accepted for a Klarna payment method before does not mean it will be offered for every order and in turn, as it is denied does not mean it will be denied for all future orders.


What do I need to provide when I make a purchase?


If you want to make a purchase with Klarna using Pay later in 3 interest-free instalments, you'll need to provide your mobile phone number, email address, current billing address and a debit or credit card. The mobile number is required in case we need to reach you. All communications will be sent to your email address. It's very important that you give us the correct details, as otherwise you will not receive your payment schedule and any updated order information.


HOW DOES THE CLEARPAY SCHEDULE WORK?


Upon making an initial purchase, Clearpay customers will have to make their first payment at the time of purchase. The remaining three payments are then automatically deducted from your selected payment method every two weeks.


CAN I PAY MY BALANCE OFF EARLY?


Yes. If you would like to make additional payments before they are due then you can log into your Clearpay account and make your payments early. Clearpay will then adjust the amount outstanding accordingly. You can log into your Clearpay account at any time to view your payment schedule or to make an early payment.


What are my payment options with Klarna?


Payment for your Pay later in 3 interest-free instalments will automatically be collected from the debit or credit card you entered at checkout. The first payment is taken when the order is confirmed. The second and third instalments are collected 30 and 60 days, respectively, after the first instalment. You can always monitor your payments’ schedule in the Klarna app.


DOES CLEARPAY APPROVE 100% OF ALL ORDERS?


Unfortunately, no.

Like us, Clearpay continues to support responsible spending and will always consider the following before approving a purchase:

  • Are there sufficient funds on your card (generally we look to see the first instalment amount being available to spend)

  • Length of time you have been using Clearpay (tighter in the first 6 weeks)

  • Amount you have to repay, it may help to pay some off

  • The value of the order you are trying to place

  • The number of orders you currently have 'open' with us

I’M HAVING TROUBLE USING CLEARPAY. WHAT DO I DO?


If you are having difficulties using Clearpay, please consider all of the above. Please note, Clearpay considers a number of different factors upon approval. For example, the longer you have been a shopper with Clearpay and the more orders you have successfully repaid, the more likely you will be able to spend more.

WILL CLEARPAY RUN A CREDIT SEARCH AT THE POINT OF PURCHASE?


Neither Clearpay or Caramella run credit searches that could impact your credit rating at the point of purchase. This includes at the point of application, if a payment is missed, or if the outstanding balance enters a debt collection stage.


I DON’T HAVE THE FUNDS AVAILABLE FOR MY NEXT PAYMENT. WHAT DO I DO?


We will always advise that our customers shop responsibly when choosing to use Clearpay as their default payment method and consider the long term costs involved.

A late payment fee of £6 will be charged to your account if funds are not available when the automatic payment is due. An additional £6 fee will then be charged if the missed payment is not made within 7 days. Late fees will not exceed 25% of the total order. WHAT HAPPENS IF I CANCEL OR RETURN MY ORDER?


As soon as Caramella have accepted your cancellation/return, Clearpay will cancel the statement or refund your payment.


WHEN WILL MY ITEMS BE DELIVERED IF I USED CLEARPAY?


Clearpay orders are delivered within our standard delivery timeframes like any normal order from us.
